Car, moped crash leaves one injured at corner of Bogue, Auditorium

A moped and car crash shut down southbound Bogue Street and Auditorium Road for about half an hour Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m., and it is unclear what happened, MSU Police said. Bogue Street reopened at 3 p.m.

The moped driver was transported to Sparrow Hospital by ambulance with non life-threatening injuries, MSUPD said.

It is unclear if the moped driver was wearing a helmet, MSUPD said.

The driver of the car was uninjured.

Drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, police said.

MSUPD were the first responders and East Lansing Police assisted. The crash happened in ELPD's jurisdiction.

Another moped and vehicle crash occurred on Nov. 16, injuring two student-athletes.
