The current iteration of the Park District project is dead, according to a press release.
In order for the project to continue, the current and former developers needed to reach an agreement to transfer a $10 million Michigan Business Tax credit, but they could not.
The project had been approved by the East Lansing City Council.
The blighted buildings will still be torn down on Oct. 7.
The city expects the current developer to submit plans for a new project in the next few months, according to the release.
