The MSU women's basketball team will travel to Coral Gables, Florida on Nov. 30 to take on the University of Miami Hurricanes as part of the Big Ten-ACC Challenge, MSU Athletics Communications announced in a release Wednesday.
MSU looks to rebound after last season's 75-64 loss to Syracuse in the Carrier Dome. Maryland, Michigan, Northwestern, Penn State and Purdue all captured games for the Big Ten, but the ACC took the Challenge title by a 9-5 count.
The last matchup between the Spartans and the Hurricanes was in the 2011 Big Ten-ACC Challenge, where Miami took a 76-60 win over MSU in East Lansing. The all-time series between the schools is tied at 2-2.
MSU is 5-5 all-time in the Challenge and the Spartans finished the 2016-17 season with a 21-12 overall record, and a 9-7 record to finish seventh in the Big Ten. MSU, however, reached the NCAA Tournament for the 13th time in 15 seasons.
