The East Lansing Police Department is asking for the public's help with a sexual assault investigation that occurred during MSU's homecoming weekend.

At approximately 12:20 a.m. on Oct. 15, ELPD responded to a reported sexual assault of a female outside of Lou and Harry's in downtown East Lansing, according to a press release from ELPD.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with the male suspect and he then made an attempt to flee the area. He was later arrested and after further investigation, the female said the male suspect sexually assaulted her while waiting in line.

ELPD is asking for anyone who witnessed the alleged incident that night to contact Detective Chris Shadduck at (517) 319-6842.
