After missing the 2015 football season with a torn ACL, MSU linebacker Ed Davis has been granted a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA.
The news broke in a Tweet from head football coach Mark Dantonio shortly before 11:30 a.m. on Friday.

Earlier in the week at his Tuesday press conference, Dantonio said he expected to hear good news during the week regarding Davis.
Davis recorded 58 tackles, 12 for loss, in 12 games during his junior season for the Spartans in 2014.
