Life-size Leonardo DiCaprio cardboard cutout stolen from the Union

MSU police are reporting an incident of burglary at the Union, which occurred on April 18 at about 5:30 p.m.

According to reports, a white male subject wearing a bright green hooded sweatshirt stole a life-size Leonardo DiCaprio cardboard cutout. The subject then reportedly ran out of the Union into a vehicle, which ran over a victim’s foot.

The victim did not seek medical attention. The cutout is estimated to be worth $400. Any one with information on the suspect is asked to contact MSU police.



Malicious Destruction of Property

On April 16 at about 7:45 a.m., a Spartan Stadium employee contacted MSU police in reference to destruction of property around the North concourse.

According to reports, a fire extinguisher might have been used to knock the door handles off of three doors. Evidence found at the scene has been forwarded to the MSUPD crime lab and anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Chad Davis.

Criminal Sexual Conduct

On April 16, MSU police reported an alleged sexual assault which occurred on April 15.

The victim reported the sexual assault occurred sometime between 11 p.m. and midnight in Phillips Hall.

According to the report, the victim was approached in the first floor hallway of Phillips Hall by a group of four men who started speaking with her. The victim reported that one of the individuals sexually assaulted her.

At the time of the report, she was unable to relay if this occurred in the hallway or in another area of the building.

MSU police are actively investigating this case and the suspect is described as a white male, college age, approximately 5-foot-8 inches tall with dark brown hair.

MSUPD Capt. Doug Monette could not give any more information on this case as of Thursday, but anyone with information is asked to contact MSU police.
