Quicken Loans announced that it was partnering with MSU to become the official mortgage provider of MSU athletics on Jan. 21, according to a Spartan Athletics press release.
To celebrate its collegiate partnerships, Quicken Loans started the sweepstakes on Jan. 12 and will run it until April 1, 2016. All participants must be 18 years or older and legal U.S. residents to enter. Fans can enter the sweepstakes at the Spartan Athletics official website.
“This partnership is all about offering new and engaging opportunities for supporters to rally around the Spartan community and build on its impressive legacy,” MSU alumnus and Quicken Loans President Jay Farner said in the release. “We’re beyond thrilled to work with Michigan State Athletics to bring fans a winning combination.”
Quicken Loans founder Dan Gilbert has alma mater ties to MSU. Gilbert is also the owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA franchise.
“Quicken Loans is no stranger to sports sponsorships and always bring a unique flair to everything they do,” MSU athletic director Mark Hollis said in the release. “Spartan fans are definitely in for some fun.”
