Clark, a 6-foot-4, 325-pound lineman, utilized his versatility throughout his career, starting 33 total games at three different positions. He finished his career with starting 27 games in a row and recorded a team high 83.5 knockdowns this past season, and those stats contributed to him being voted as a third-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches. Clark was a two year starter for MSU and a four year letterwinner.

Harris was a co-captain of the team, and finished the season second in tackles with 90. He set a career high with nine tackles for loss, and just like Clark, finished on the third-team All-Big Ten and was also a two year starter and four year letterwinner. Harris graduated with a journalism degree in 2015, and was one of 12 Mary Gardner scholars for the MSU School of Journalism, an award given to the faculty’s choices of the top 12 graduating seniors.

R.J. Williamson missed most of the season with a torn biceps, but still managed the Football Writers Association of America’s award for defensive player of the week in week three for his performance against Air Force. Williamson finished that game with five tackles, an interception, an onside kick recovery and a fumble recovery, which Williamson took 64 yards for a touchdown. Williamson finished the year with 24 tackles, two interceptions and one pass break-up. He was one of three MSU players ever to score three defensive touchdowns in a career.

The East-West Shrine Game was the nation’s first college all-star football game, and it was created in 1925. The game supports Shriners Hospitals for Children help children in need of medical care, and the players and coaches who participate in this event visit the patients for a whole day, exemplifying the Shriners motto of being more than just a game.
