MSU police respond to narcotics, thefts

MSU police is reporting a case of narcotics possession at Abbot Hall on Jan. 16. 

MSUPD responded to a complaint of marijuana odor in Abbot Hall and met with residential staff. Police made contact with the subjects in their room, where they found open alcohol, marijuana and pills. The subjects were arrested and the case has been handed over to the Ingham County Prosecutor's Office.

Damage to property

A victim in West Holden Hall reported that her window had been cracked by a thrown snowball on Jan. 15. MSU police responded to the complaint but there are no suspects in the case. 

Larceny

About 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 16, a female student reported parts of her bike were stolen at Armstrong Hall. The victim’s tires and braking system were stolen. The case is active and anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Christopher Rozman at 517-355-2221.

Burglary

On Jan. 16, MSU police responded to a student who reported their bike stolen from North Wonders Hall. The bike was reportedly taken from the bike room. There are no suspects in the case.

Larceny

On Jan. 15, MSU police responded to an MSU student’s report of stolen items in Brody Neighborhood. The victim had two pairs of Beats by Dre headphones stolen. The case is still active and anyone with information is asked to contact Det. Christopher Rozman at 517-355-2221.
