Before the men's basketball game Saturday against Maryland, the MSU Rebounders Club and the MSU School of Packaging will be hosting a food drive and collecting donations.
Lupe Izzo, men's basketball head coach Tom Izzo's wife, will serve as a chair for the MSU Rebounders Club annual food drive, according to a press release.
She said students can bring commercially packaged, canned, boxed or cellophane wrapped food items to the game.
Cash donations will also be accepted for the drive. According to the press release, up to $15,000 could be raised at the game if every attendee donates $1.
The drive has all food and donations go toward Greater Lansing Food Bank and MSU Student Food Bank.
Last season the food drive collected 898 food items and $14,904.98 in donations.
