Lansing firefighter Dennis Rodeman was allegedly struck by former MSU student Grant Jacob Taylor on Sept. 9 while collecting money for charity. After an alleged argument between the two, Taylor drove off, turned around and allegedly hit Rodeman with his vehicle.

A $100,000 fundraising goal for Rodeman's family was created by the City of Lansing on GoFundMe after Rodeman's death and the goal was quickly met.
