CATA to offer free rides for those voting in Lansing election Tuesday

August 3, 2015

The Capital Area Transportation Authority will offer free rides Tuesday to ensure those who want to vote on the Lansing proposal and council candidates have transportation to the polls, according to a CATA statement.

Customers must present valid voter registration when boarding the bus, according to the statement.

Rides provided on Spec-Tran, Redi-Ride and Rural Service must be scheduled at least one day in advance of Election Day, the statement read. Same-day rides will not be available.
