The Lansing River Trail stretches from Waverly Road to Old Town and includes over 20 miles of paved trail that runs through numerous parks and natural areas. The trail runs along the Red Cedar and Grand Rivers. According to residents it’s a good place to exercise among other things.
“We’re always so busy with kids and jobs and we almost forget how to relax and this (the river trail) helps us do that,” said Brittany VanderBroek a resident of Grand Ledge who bikes and walks her dog on the trail.
Running through the campus of MSU and into downtown Lansing, Christopher Blaskie, a resident of East Lansing who graduate in May with a degree in food science, said the trail provides good connectivity.
A map of the trail as well as parking information are available on its website.
