“I told my daughter that (her mother and I) met volunteering at a hospital, but the reality was, I met her DJing at a house party over in Lansing and I proposed to her that night. ... She didn’t say yes. It took awhile. It took a couple of years, but eventually she said yes ... I saw her and that was it."
