The Reduced Shakespeare Company group is heading to East Lansing this Thursday evening to perform at the Wharton Center, bringing comedy performances with topics ranging from the bible to Shakespeare.

Communication sophomore Nicholas Dunn said he's been a fan of the Reduced Shakespeare company for a few years.

“These guys have an amazing style of comedy, and they’re able to get the crowd involved with it," he said. "I’m really excited that they’re heading to Michigan State this week."

According to The Reduced Shakespeare Company's website, The Reduced Shakespeare Company is an acting troupe that has toured around the world in their 34 years of existence.

Founded by Daniel Singer in 1981, the Company performs most of its shows out of the United States and United Kingdom, but has performed all over the world as well. The Company is made up of 13 performers in total, but they break up into groups of three to travel and perform.

Their upcoming appearance has students excited.

"These guys are hilarious," accounting sophomore Jessica Kunz said. "This Thursday ought to be a blast."

All tickets for the 7:30 p.m. event this Thursday are $40 and can be purchased at the Wharton Center website.
