Spartans Break Down the Walls
Monday, Nov. 10 through Thursday, Nov. 13, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
This week, students are encouraged to write down stereotypes they’ve been labeled as on the banner in MSU Union’s upper main lounge. On Thursday at 6:30 p.m., students will meet by the banner to tear it down, symbolizing the destruction of stereotypes. This event is a part of #OneLoveMSU, a campaign devoted to fostering diversity and tolerance.
Lecture from Anna Deavere Smith
Monday, Nov. 10, 7:30 pm
Anna Deavere Smith, who won the National Humanities Medal in 2012, is an actress, playwright and professor. She will be coming to the Wharton Center to discuss her social and political efforts.
Admission is $20.
Men’s and Women’s Glee Clubs
Tuesday, Nov. 11, 7:30 pm
The men’s and women’s glee clubs will be performing at Fairchild Theatre with conductors Jonathan Reed and Brandon Williams. The event is sponsored by the College of Music.
Students can get in for free with their ID. Ticket prices start at $10 for adults and $8 for seniors.
Marathon of Majors
Wednesday, Nov. 12, 5 pm to 7 pm
This event is for students to learn more about the different MSU colleges. Representatives from the different colleges will be present to answer questions regarding majors, minors, internships, etc. Marathon of Majors will take place in the 2nd floor ballroom at MSU Union.
Admission is free.
Les Liaisons Dangereuses
Friday, Nov. 14, 8 pm to 10 pm
Based on the novel of the same name by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, this play follows the antics of French aristocrats in 1780. It’s described as being a “disturbing comedy” and “erotic, witty play.” This event will take place at Arena Theatre and will continue for the next several weekends.
Admission is $10.

Friday, Nov. 14 and Saturday, Nov. 15, 7 pm and 9 pm
This movie, based on the popular book by Lois Lowry, will play in 119B Wing, Wells Hall. It follows the story of a young boy living in a seemingly perfect dystopian community.
Admission is free for undergraduate students living in MSU dorms. Admission for everyone else is $2.

Playing in 115B Wing, Wells Hall, this box office hit is the story of intergalactic criminals joining forces to stop the villainous Ronan the Accuser from wiping out the galaxy.
Admission is free for undergraduate students living in MSU dorms. Admission for everyone else is $2.
