Students can explore housing options at the Fall Housing fair today in the Union

October 9, 2014

Still looking for a place to live for the 2015-2016 school year?

The Department of Student Life will be hosting their annual Fall Housing Fair today in the Union from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Students will be given the opportunity to learn their on and off campus housing options in addition to other information related to making a decision on housing.

Representatives from a variety of apartment complexes and realtors will be in attendance to provide more information for students leaning more towards the off-campus living choice.

ASMSU’s legal services will also be educating students who may be signing a lease for the first time.

During the event, the Department of Student Life will be giving away coupons for The Dairy Store to students who fill out a survey on the fair.

Specific realtors will also be giving away prizes, inlcuding Abbott Place apartments who will be hosting a contest for students to win one of five Kindle Fires.

Graduate Assistant in The Department of Student Life Leanne DeLosh said the housing fair is a useful event for freshman, graduate students and everyone in-between.

"It's important students have enough information so they can make informed decisions ... to know what can you do to live on campus and what the are options and to learn more about the community," DeLosh said.
