A student was assaulted at about 2:30 a.m. Oct. 13 near McDonel Hall, according to MSU police.
A 19-year-old male told police he was walking between McDonel and Holmes Halls with his girlfriend when three males drove by in a car and began shouting at him, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
He told police two of the suspects got out of the car and one of the men hit him in the face, knocking him to the ground. The victim was left with a bloody nose.
The victim’s girlfriend later told police the victim was intoxicated and started the argument by shouting at the suspects as they drove by.
