Wharton Center and Breslin Center partner with leading ticketing service provider

June 11, 2013

Buying tickets for events at Wharton Center and Breslin Center will be more user-friendly now that they have partnered with Paciolan, a leading ticketing service provider.

Paciolan offers customers a fully branded e-commerce experience with an online box office. Jarrod Bradford, director of ticketing, sales and digital services at Wharton Center, said having the digital ticketing feature will add convenience and customer flexibility.

“Choosing seats (and) printing tickets can now be done online in the customer’s home,” said Bradford. “With Paciolan we are able scan tickets at the theater … and if a customer loses their ticket or if they want to transfer their ticket to someone else they can.”

Wharton Center Public Relations Manager Robert Hoffman said that the official place for customers will still be through the Wharton Center, Paciolan just makes the process of purchasing tickets much easier.

“It’s a cleaner and more up-to-date look,” said Hoffman.

For the past 10 years, Wharton Center used Maxtix, a ticketing system Bradford said was outdated and no longer fits Wharton Center’s needs.

“Paciolan is very adamant about their security and are up to date on all of their security standards and certifications, so the university feels really comfortable with Paciolan,” Bradford said.

Paciolan is now the single ticketing system campuswide. Craig Ricks, the vice president of marketing at Paciolan, said using Paciolan across campus allows the venues to enhance customer relationships.

“This gives them a platform to provide an exceptional customer experience … Wharton Center does a phenomenal job of this already,” said Ricks. “As a Michigan State grad and growing up locally I saw my first ever Broadway show at Wharton Center, Les Misérables.”
