The cause of death for geological sciences sophomore Anna Flory was determined by a medical examiner to be from natural causes, according to East Lansing police Capt. Jeff Murphy.
The medical examiner released the results to the police early last week. Authorities never suspected foul play to be involved with her cause of death, according to a past State News article.
Flory was determined dead by authorities on Feb. 23 after she was found not breathing in her home on Bailey Street. An autopsy found her to have an enlarged heart, which Murphy said had something to do with her cause of death.
Flory leaves behind her mother, father and two sisters.
With her cause of death now determined, the police investigation has been closed as well, Murphy said.
