A suspect detained by the East Lansing Police Department in connection with a string of robberies in downtown East Lansing was arraigned in district court today.
Charles Marice Allen, a 19-year old male from Lansing has been arraigned on a total of six counts.
Charges range from unarmed robbery, fleeing and eluding police, conspiracy to commit unarmed robbery, as well as being an accessory to a felony after the fact.
Police say Allen was not the only individual involved in these crimes and that the incident is still currently under investigation.
Allen and three other suspects are believed to be connected to two unarmed robberies which took place near the Marriott Hotel in East Lansing on June 12.
Allen was detained by police shortly after he and the other suspects abandoned their car after leading police on a chase into Lansing. Police believe they might also be connected to an armed robbery which took place June 10 on the 100 block of Orchard Street in East Lansing.
