The MSU women’s crew finished fourth, with 85 points, at the 2013 Big Ten championships this Sunday at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis.
MSU last won a Big Ten championship in 2009. The Spartans have qualified for the NCAA National Championship Regatta in 14 of the last 15 seasons.
Three out of the Spartans’ six entries were seeded fifth, including the varsity and second varsity eights as well as the novice eight.
The Spartan second novice eight earned a bronze medal in the tournament, finishing with a time of 7:22:64.
Katie Cromie earned All-Big Ten first-team honors, while Elinor Hannum earned second-team honors for MSU.
