Sugar Berry Frozen Yogurt is celebrating opening its third greater Lansing location this week.
Fans of frozen yogurt now can enjoy 12 yogurt flavors, toppings and bubble tea at the newest location at 4901 N. Okemos Road, Meridian Charter Township in the same shopping center as Pet Supplies Plus and Breadsmith. The other stores are located at 3201 E. Grand River Ave., Suite A and 5451 W. Saginaw Hwy., Suite G.
The new location’s hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday and noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
“People were traveling all the way from Okemos to our other locations so we figured we should span out to that area so everyone around here could enjoy Sugar Berry also,” Sugar Berry owner Ann Nguyen.
Nguyen said she has opened a new establishment every year since her initial Grand River Avenue store in November 2010.
Sugar Berry Frozen Yogurt Manager Leti Sanchez said customers can expect the same colorful, friendly atmosphere with a healthier option than most competers in Okemos.
“We make our own yogurt and use a lower fat milk than other places that use a 4 percent (milk); we use a 2 percent (milk)”
Nguyen said she prides all of her locations to offers a healthy, tasty treat without the guilt.
“My main goal is healthiness and to really put a smile on everyone’s faces when they walk out because they got to do it their own way,“ Nguyen said.
