Saturday is the third annual IRONDOG 5K Run/Walk on MSU’s campus.

The money raised will help fund the medical care of cats and dogs hospitalized at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital.

IRONDOG is a charity that raises money through athletic events for animals whose owners can’t pay for their animal’s care, according to the organization’s website.

Last year, IRONDOG 5K Run/Walk raised more than $10,000 to help their furry friends, according to the website.

The event begins at 10 a.m. at the Small Animal Hospital. Applications still are available online, and the race costs $30 per person, with an additional $1.85 fee to sign up.
