East Lansing is under a winter storm warning tomorrow for the potential of about 6 inches of snow, said Ernie Ostuno, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids.
The area can expect about 6 inches of snow, with 3 to 4 inches falling overnight, Ostuno said. Thursday’s rush hour looks likely to be impacted by this event.
“(The storm will) probably reach the Lansing area tomorrow around noon or so,” Ostuno said.
Snowfall will be heavier north of Lansing proper and much lighter southward with it tapering off fairly quickly south of I-96, he said.
