RHA to hold vice president elections

February 27, 2013

Vice president nominations and an advance screening were the topics covered at the Residence Halls Association, or RHA, general assembly meeting Wednesday night.

RHA’s vice president nominations were open at the general assembly, with elections for the position set to take place at the next meeting on March 13, RHA President Kelcey Gapske said.

RHA elected current Communications Coordinator Zachary DeRade to be next year’s president during last week’s meeting.

Four RHA members accepted nominations and will be running for the position of vice president. The vice president elections are similar to the president elections, but there is not unlimited questioning after speeches, Gapske said.

MSU will be welcoming another advance screening in the upcoming month of March. RHA University Activities Board, or UAB, representative Ellen Evans announced the advance screening of “Evil Dead” will be on March 21.

In “Evil Dead,” five friends head to a cabin where a discovery of a book of the dead results in the group of friends summoning up demons. The evil presence takes them over and will leave only one left to fight for their life.

UAB has been responsible for bringing many different advance screenings to MSU from a variety of genres.
