MSU cyberbullying results in police investigation

February 25, 2013

MSU police said cyberbullying has been reported off campus.

An MSU student reportedly issued a threat to her roommate via Twitter between Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. and Feb. 22 at 12:30 p.m., MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

McGlothian-Taylor said two female students who are roommates off campus had a disagreement because one roommate apparently was ignoring the other.

After having a verbal argument, one of the women reportedly made a threat to the other via Twitter.

The suspect denied making any verbal or computer-based threats. The case is ongoing.
