MSU will observe National Eating Disorders Awareness Week one week early with special on-campus events, according to a university release.
Today, students can attend a free showing of “Killing Us Softly 4 — Advertising’s Image of Women” accompanied by a discussion led by adjunct assistant kinesiology professor Jon Robison, an expert in weight and health. The event will take place 7:30-9 p.m. in 105 S. Kedzie Hall.
On Wednesday, students can listen to recovery stories and participate in a discussion and yoga event from 7-9 p.m. in 126 IM Sports-Circle. Free T-shirts and other prizes will be given out.
MSU’s undergraduate student government, ASMSU, and the Residence Halls Association, as well as several other organizations, are sponsoring the free events.
