Larceny occurs in Music Practice Building

October 3, 2012

MSU police currently are investigating a reported larceny that occurred in the Music Practice Building between 7:30 p.m. and 7:35 p.m. Tuesday evening, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The purple tote bag, which belonged to a 26-year-old female, is worth $40 and its contents were valued at $290, plus her credit card and CATA bus pass, McGlothian-Taylor said.

McGlothian-Taylor said the suspect is described as a tall black male in his early 20s with a dark complexion, and was last seen wearing a blue and white striped polo T-shirt and blue baseball cap.

Fraudulent activity was reported on the victim’s credit card later that day, and owners of the East Lansing business where the card was used said that someone matching the suspect’s description had attempted to use it, she said.
