ASMSU, RHA to hold elections

April 1, 2012

MSU’s undergraduate student governments, ASMSU and the Residence Halls Association, are holding elections this week for initiatives during the 2012-13 academic year.

ASMSU’s elections take place from 8 a.m. today until 8 a.m. April 9 and serve to elect each college’s representatives to the group’s General Assembly for the next academic year.

In addition to online ballots, ASMSU also will have several polling places across campus — including Brody Hall and the Union — where students also can enter to win prizes for voting including an iPad, Kindle Fire and other gift certificates.

The Residence Halls Association also will hold a vote today through Wednesday to renew its tax for next year.

The $25 tax, paid by all on-campus residents, enables the Residence Halls Association to provide services and entertainment for students in residence halls.

The ballots for both elections are available at studentelections.msu.edu.
