The Blat! Pack
At 10 p.m. Friday, Mac’s Bar, 2700 E. Michigan Ave., in Lansing, will host a hip-hop showcase featuring local artists including disk jockey Carmine, NGC, White Girl Wasted, JAE Musick and Overthrow. The event, hosted by Chell, is a final fundraiser to help send the group Blat! Pack to the music festival South by Southwest, which will be held in Austin, Texas, starting March 9.
Tickets to Friday’s 18-and-up show are $5 .

ANR Week at MSU
The 97th annual Agriculture and Natural Resources Week will take place from March 3-10 throughout campus. The event is one of the largest of its kind in the nation and provides workshops on a variety of outdoor topics such as agriculture, horticulture and natural resources.
Attendees will get the chance to experience everything from a show of more than 3,000 rabbits to hands-on demonstrations of outdoor skills — the Michigan State Rabbit Breeders Association, Inc. will host its annual convention, and on Saturday, there will be a Beginning Birding Workshop and the 17th Annual Quiet Water Symposium.
The event continues throughout next week. The Artisanal Cheesemakers Workshop will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, which features a cheese tasting and gives participants a chance to make their own cheese.

A Night Under Covers
If you like heavy metal, then “A Night Under Covers” is for you. The show will feature local bands playing cover songs of some of their favorite acts, such as Slipknot and Alice in Chains.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. All ages are welcome.

Tai Chi in the Park
Midterms are over, and it’s time to relax. At 9:30 a.m. Saturday, the Hunter Park Community GardenHouse, 1400 E. Kalamazoo St., in Lansing, will host Tai Chi in the Park. Meditation begins at 8:45 a.m., followed by Tai Chi, an ancient Chinese practice used to reduce stress and improve health.
The event is free, but donations are encouraged.

Saints ‘n’ Sinners
The two-man stand-up act Saints ‘n’ Sinners, which consists of comedians Matthew Lumpkin and Patrick Jolle, will perform at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Connxtions Comedy Club, 2900 N. East St., in Lansing.

Lumpkin and Jolle are known for their “stereotypical Southern” stand-up, telling stories and jokes about growing up, family and being on the road.
Admission is $12 on Friday and $15 on Saturday.
