An 18-year-old male student reported his cellphone stolen from his hand about midnight March 1 outside of Brody Complex Neighborhood, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student said he walked outside to make a call from his cell phone and was on the phone when another male ran by and snatched it from his hand, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The suspect was described as a black male about 6 feet tall with long, curly hair.
The phone reported stolen was a black iPhone 4S valued at $600.
The incident is under investigation.
