Kim Fritz, owner and proprietor of Nibble, a local cheesecake company, never thought her grandmother’s cheesecake recipe would turn into a full-fledged business. But at the East Lansing Farmer’s Market in 2009, Fritz experienced true success.

“We sold out every single weekend,” Fritz said.

As Fritz’s business expanded throughout the years, her family did as well with the addition of her son, Tyler, in 2010.

“It’s another thing thrown into the mix,” Fritz said. “But I don’t think you know what you’re capable of until something like that happens, until you really have multiple balls in the air and you’re learning to juggle everything at once.”

Fritz credits the encouragement and help of friends and family to her success in balancing motherhood and running her business at the same time.
