Men's soccer to play Indiana in Big Ten tournament

The MSU men’s soccer team will open up Big Ten Tournament play Wednesday in Ann Arbor.

The Spartans (7-7-4 overall, 2-2-2 Big Ten), who finished fifth in the regular season, will take on the No. 4 seed Indiana (11-3-4, 3-1-2) at 1 p.m. The Spartans tied the Hoosiers 2-2 in Bloomington, Ind., earlier this season.

The winner of the game will go on to play No. 1 seed Northwestern (10-4-4, 4-0-2) 1 p.m. Friday.

No. 2 seed Ohio State (10-6-2, 4-2-0) plays No. 7 seed Penn State (7-8-4, 0-6-0) on Wednesday and will face the winner of the game between No. 3 seed Wisconsin (9-7-2, 4-2-0) and No. 6 seed Michigan (5-13-1, 1-5-0).

The winners of the two semifinal games will meet in the championship game on Sunday.
