E.L. resident reports man entering apartment with knife at Chandler Crossing

An East Lansing resident reported an unidentified man armed with a knife entered his apartment in the Landings at Chandler Crossing at 11 a.m. Wednesday, according to press release from the East Lansing Police Department.

The resident confronted the man and was able to chase him away anything was taken.

Before leaving the apartment, the suspect mentioned something about stealing MacBooks and iPods.

Police responded to the scene within a minute of the 911 call, but despite a detailed search of the area no one was found.

The suspect was described as a 5-foot-9 black male with short hair and a medium build wearing a green shirt and green Spartan pajama pants.

According to the release, several other daytime break-ins occurred in the same complex in ground-level apartments through unlocked patio doors and open windows.
