Turnovers doom Spartans in loss to Green Bay

The MSU women’s basketball team bowed out of the NCAA Tournament with a 65-56 loss to Green Bay.

The Spartans (27-6) turned the ball over 24 times and couldn’t overcome a 12-point halftime deficit.

The Phoenix (34-1) were led by Adrian Ritchie, scoring 20 points.

MSU was lead by Big Ten Player of the Year senior forward Kalisha Keane with 20 points and five rebounds.

Green Bay shot 62.5 percent from beyond-the-arc adding to the 47 percent shooting for the game. The Spartans shot just 37.3 percent.
