The MSU women’s soccer team has signed seven players to National Letters of Intent for the 2011 season.
Mary Kathryn Fiebernitz, Courtney Hammer, Alex Heffron, Megan Marsack, Rachel Van Poppelen, Lisa Vogel and Paige Wester are among the players that will join a core group that includes three-time All-American Laura Heyboer and First Team All-Big Ten goalkeeper Jill Fliestra.
Six of the seven incoming freshmen reside in Michigan, the only one not from the Mitten being Hammer, who travels to join the Spartans from Georgia.
The Spartans finished the season going 0-3-2 in their final five games and won just two games on the road all year.
