After a Purdue basket, the Spartans went on a 12-0 run and never looked back.
They were led by junior forward Lykendra Johnson who went without a foul in the first half and
finished the game with 13 points and 8 rebounds.
Senior guard Brittney Thomas led all scorers with a career-high 22 points and set a school record with 14 made free throws. Senior forward Kalisha Keane also found double-digits with 12 points.
After pushing the lead to 20 points in the second half, the Boilermakers were able to cut the deficit to 13, but the Spartans ultimately pulled away.
For Purdue, Drey Mingo led the team with 18 points, but 21 Boilermaker turnovers prevented the Boilermakers from having any chance to get back into the game.
