Car allegedly damaged in parking ramp

February 14, 2011

A 35-year-old male graduate student reported someone allegedly maliciously damaged his car while it was parked in Ramp 6 near Grand River Avenue, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

When the student returned to his car — a soft-top Jeep Wrangler — he found the rear passenger-side panel was cut and the zipper was damaged, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The alleged incident took place between 7 p.m. Feb. 9 and 12:01 a.m. Feb. 10, and the damage is estimated at $1,000.

There are no suspects, and the incident is under investigation.
