Led by 20 points and 17 rebound from junior forward Lykendra Johnson, the No. 12 MSU women’s basketball team defeated Minnesota, 66-54.

The performance by Johnson is her best of the season, just beating out her 17-point and
17-rebound performance on Jan. 9 at Michigan.

Both senior forwards Kalisha Keane and Cetera Washington also scored in double digits
for the Spartans.

Washington was two rebounds away from a double-double with 10
points and eight boards.

Keane scored 14 as MSU was on its way to a 18-2 record and 6-1 in Big Ten play.

For Minnesota, Kiara Buford led all scorers with 24 points. The Golden Gophers fought
back from a 12 point deficit at halftime and cut the Spartans lead to three. However,
MSU turned on the jets and pulled away from there.
