Student’s jeans stolen at IM facility

November 29, 2010

An MSU student reported his jeans stolen after being left unattended at IM Sports-West, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The student, a 23-year-old man, put the jeans and his jacket against a wall in a gym while he was playing basketball, McGlothian-Taylor said. The student told police he noticed a black man about 6 feet tall with a dark complexion and no facial hair on the gym’s bleachers while he was playing. The man left before the student and the student could not find his belongings before he left.

In the pocket of the jeans was an iPhone valued at $200, a wallet valued at $20, $140 and ¥400, or $60, as well as several cards including a student ID and credit card.
