A student who left his backpack unattended in the Wilson Hall computer lab later reported it stolen the afternoon of Nov. 9, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
The student, a 19-year-old man, left the backpack unattended several times while he was using the lab, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The backpack, valued at $50, contained the student’s calculus textbook, valued at $200, a black Hewlett-Packard laptop valued at $1,500, and a $40 iClicker.
There are no suspects and the incident still is under investigation.
