Laptop, shoes missing from dorm room

An MSU student had nearly $1,000 in items allegedly stolen after he forgot to lock his dorm room, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The victim, a 19-year-old male student, left his door unlocked for about an hour Monday while he was not in his room in East Holden Hall, McGlothian-Taylor said.

The student returned and was unable to locate his black Toshiba laptop and male Prada shoes, size 9 1/2.
The laptop is estimated to be worth about $750, and the shoes reportedly are worth $150.

There are no suspects and the incident is under investigation.
