An 18-year-old male MSU student reported his wallet stolen the afternoon of Sept. 27 in IM Sports-East while the bag was in the same room as him, Sgt. Paul Kuchek said.
The student was playing basketball in IM Sports-East, and had his bag sitting on the floor off to the side of the gym, Kuchek said.
The victim reported his wallet taken, but not his cell phone or keys, which also were in the bag.
The wallet contained a bus pass values at $50, his driver’s license and an unknown amount was taken from his debit card. The wallet itself was valued at $15.
There are no suspects and incident is under investigation.
