The Kestler Film Event, as part of the Library Film Series, is presenting “The Forgotten Refugees” from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday in the North Conference Room (W449) of the Main Library.
The film takes a look at the culture of the historic Jewish communities in Arabic and North African countries and their forced exodus from Israel in 1948.
Refugees tell their own personal stories of survival while scholars explain the reasons for their migration and resettlement.
The event is free and open to the public.
