A firecracker went off Tuesday night inside the stairwell of South Hubbard Hall while MSU police officers were in the building investigating another incident, MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.
There was no damage to the stairwell, McGlothian-Taylor said.
The officers heard the explosion, and several other students in the building reported it to the officers, she said.
There are no suspects and the situation still is under investigation.
