Vehicle stolen from Amtrak recovered

A vehicle stolen from East Lansing’s Amtrak station sometime in the past week was found abandoned with its windows smashed, on I-96 in Portland, Mich.,MSU police Sgt. Florene McGlothian-Taylor said.

The car, a 1990 blue Lincoln town car, was reported missing by its owner, a 31-year-old male from Sanford, Mich., said McGlothian-Taylor. The car was stolen sometime between 7:55 a.m. on Aug. 30 and 9:40 p.m. on Sept. 6.

The car, currently being held at a towing place in Portland, has a broken windshield and windows. The interior also had sustained water damage when it was found on Sept. 4.

No estimate of damage was available, and there are no suspects.
