Three days after the MSU football team opens its season at Spartan Stadium against Western Michigan on Saturday, the Spartans will hold tryouts for prospective walk-ons.
Tryouts will begin at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Duffy Daugherty Football Building and Skandalaris Football Center.
In order to be eligible to tryout for MSU, potential
walk-ons must be taking at least 12 credit hours during the 2010 fall semester, be academically eligible according to NCAA standards and be registered with the NCAA Clearinghouse.
If the prospect is an upperclassmen, he must have a minimum GPA of 2.3.
