The two-time defending Big Ten Champion MSU men’s basketball team will be featured on ESPN’s College GameDay twice next season, including a visit to Breslin Center in February.
The Spartans will first be featured on the show Jan. 22, when they travel to West Lafayette, Ind., to take on Purdue, last season’s Co-Big Ten Champion.
MSU will host College GameDay on Feb. 19 when Illinois visits Breslin Center. Last season, the Illini hosted the show when MSU came to town and used the raucous environment to upset the fifth-ranked Spartans 78-73.
The last time College GameDay visted MSU was in 2007, when the Spartans defeated Indiana 66-58. This season will mark the fifth and sixth times MSU has been featured on the show, which ties them for most in the nation and leads the Big Ten.
The first hour of the show will be broadcast on ESPNU from 10-11 a.m., and the second hour will be broadcast on ESPN. At 8 p.m., a one-hour show will be broadcast leading into the Spartans matchup with the Illini.
The show is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined by analysts Jay Bilas, Digger Phelps, Hubert Davis and Bob Knight.
