Healing through hypnosis

April 26, 2010

In searching for his life purpose, East Lansing resident Robert Ranger began learning about the mind and consciousness. This inspired him to become a clinical hypnotherapist. He says hypnosis is the quickest way to find and release the source of one’s distress. He founded the Institute of Transformational Hypnotherapy and teaches nurses, doctors, psychiatrists, and others how to use hypnosis as a therapeutic tool. “As I hear how their lives change, it’s wonderful to hear that; to see that,” Ranger said. “ And in the classes I teach, I see it everyday.”

This inspired him to become a clinical hypnotherapist. Hypnosis is the quickest way to find and release the source of one’s distress, Ranger said.

He founded the Institute of Transformational Hypnotherapy and teaches nurses, doctors, psychiatrists and others how to use hypnosis as a therapeutic tool.

“As I hear how their lives change, it’s wonderful to hear that, to see that,” Ranger said. “And in the classes I teach, I see it every day.”

Ranger said when he first works with a patient he tries to understand his or her sense of reality. He then is able to guide the patient from brokenness to self-discovery and wholeness.

He prefers teaching hypnosis because his students learn how to help themselves and others, resulting in a multiplied effect of healing.

“I know it will touch many lives in that way and we need all the help we can get,” Ranger said.
“Humanity is greatly in need of healing.”
